The fuller our cup, the more we have to give. Deepen your self-care and build your inner strength with these easy and fun 12 special tips created by yours truly and the lovely Maggie Richards in celebration of our Easter retreat coming up this year. Be more open to simple yet powerful ways of putting compassion first. 
singing and laughing
Day 1: Sing a song! Out loud! Doesn’t care what it sounds like, just go for it! Singing is uplifting!
walking in nature
Day 2: Celebrate nature with a winter walk. Breathe in the fresh air, gently move the body, let your mind clear.
restorative yoga
Day 3: Rest and relax the nervous system with this simple 10-minute restorative yoga pose, legs up against the wall. No special equipment needed, just get really cosy with blankets and cushions and a wall.
read a good book
Day 4: Spend at least 15 minutes reading an uplifting, spiritually-nourishing book. Some favourites: Daughter of Fire by Irina Tweedie, Autobiography of a Yogi by Yogananda Paramahansa, Step Lightly in Mind, Body, Spirit by Cher Chevalier
bath with candles
Day 5: Meditate in the bath. Light some candles, close your eyes, and let your mind expand into the infinite inner realms.
Laugh with friends
Day 6: Watch something that, or spend time with someone who, makes you laugh. It’s said laughter is God’s music!
Watch the stars
Day 7: Count your blessings. Allow your gratitude to well from within and set humility flowing through your heart.

Day 8: Look in the mirror and say to yourself out loud I love you until you FEEL it.

flowers for you
Day 10: Buy yourself flowers. Choose the most beautiful ones you can find. Ponder their power to touch you.
tick off the list
Day 11: Tie up loose ends - pay off any debt or make a plan to pay it off, make amends, clean out your cupboards and/or inbox, joyfully do whatever you’ve been putting off. You’ll feel so much better!
Show compassion
Day 12: Expand your capacity for compassion. Do something kind for someone who irks you.. You can do this in a message, with a gift, even anonymously or inwardly by praying for them.
