Your body is asking to be heard. Let me help you understand its language.
I’m Katrin Heuser, a bodyworker, facilitator and mentor.
My work is centred on helping people listen to their bodies and reconnect with their natural rhythm and vitality. Your body is constantly communicating with you through sensations, movement, and emotions. Yet, in the busyness of life, we often overlook or misunderstand these messages. By learning to recognise and interpret your body’s signals, you can begin to meet its needs, release tension, and restore a sense of balance and ease. My approach encourages you to trust your body’s wisdom. When you attune to its voice, you create space for healing, resilience, and a renewed connection with yourself. This practice empowers you to feel more grounded, present, and capable of navigating life’s changes. |
Why body awareness matters
In our fast-paced world, it’s common to experience ongoing tension, discomfort, or disconnection. Many people seek solutions that address symptoms but overlook the body’s innate ability to communicate what it needs to feel well.
By cultivating body awareness, we can:
This awareness goes beyond physical well-being - it invites you to cultivate a relationship with your whole self. It’s about creating space to listen, respond, and live with more presence and ease.
By cultivating body awareness, we can:
- Ease tension and discomfort in a sustainable way
- Build resilience and adapt to life’s challenges
- Reconnect with our intuition and inner knowing
This awareness goes beyond physical well-being - it invites you to cultivate a relationship with your whole self. It’s about creating space to listen, respond, and live with more presence and ease.

How I found my way here
The whole journey began in my early teens. At 13, I developed scoliosis and had to wear an orthopaedic corset for three years while undergoing regular physiotherapy. It was a challenging time that shaped my curiosity about the human body and its capacity for movement and healing.
In my twenties, I found relief through Pilates and dance, supporting my back with regular practice. However, as I approached 30, I began to experience persistent discomfort, particularly on my right side, and found myself relying on frequent massages to ease the tension. Eventually, I started seeing a cranial osteopath every week for several months, which left me feeling stuck and frustrated.
During this time, I was halfway through my Yoga Teacher Training and had started exploring workshops on fascial release and alternative approaches to movement. I sensed that there was another way to care for my body - an approach rooted in listening and adapting rather than pushing through discomfort. Inspired by this insight, I decided to rebuild my personal practice from the ground up. I took charge of my well-being, embracing a more intuitive, responsive way of moving and being.
Living in London at the time, I was fortunate to find a Scaravelli-inspired Yoga teacher just around the corner from my home. The week I began working with her, I never needed to return to the osteopath. That experience transformed my relationship with my body and set me on the path of therapeutic movement and bodywork.
Around the same time, I began training in Thai Yoga Massage, which deepened my understanding of the body’s interconnected layers and its potential for healing. I vividly remember the moment I realised, “This is my gift.” It felt like a natural evolution - I had already left my career in Digital Media and was building a full-time Yoga and bodywork practice.
By 2015, after 16 years in London, I felt drawn to a slower pace of life. I moved to Lisbon, Portugal, where I fulfilled a long-held dream of opening my own studio, Little Yoga Space. This new chapter allowed me to create a nurturing space for others to explore their own well-being journeys.
Today, my body is mostly pain-free, and my spine has become one of my greatest teachers. Through continued practice and study, particularly in Osteothai, I’ve come to understand how early experiences can shape our physical and emotional patterns. Wearing a corset for three formative years left imprints in my body and mind, but it also sparked my deep appreciation for the body’s resilience and capacity to heal.
My work is a reflection of this journey - a commitment to supporting others in reconnecting with their bodies, restoring balance, and discovering their own paths to well-being.

Some people like to know these things about me
Movement has always been part of my life. From the age of six until I was 30, I danced - a lot. African dance, in particular, was my passion, and it was my creative outlet for many years. Ironically, I wasn’t fond of Yoga back then!
My favourite Yoga book is Awakening the Spine by Vanda Scaravelli. Her approach to movement and her deep respect for the body’s natural intelligence continue to inspire my practice and teaching. Originally, I’m from Germany, where I grew up and where my family still lives. I left at 20 to attend a film and drama school in England for what I thought would be a year. But life had other plans. I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the friendships I’d formed, so I moved to London, where most of my new friends were headed. In London, I built a career in Media, eventually becoming Project Director at a creative web agency. I’m deeply grateful to that agency - they allowed me to transition to part-time work, giving me the space and stability to grow my Yoga and bodywork business. Life has brought me many memorable moments. Some of the highlights include doing a tandem skydive at 13 (twice!), taking a road trip in a Volkswagen Golf Convertible from Germany to Barcelona with my best friend when we were 18, sitting pretty much naked (covered in Ayurvedic herbal paste) on a rooftop in a small Indian village, and jumping over seven waves to welcome the New Year in Brazil. These experiences have shaped my love for adventure and my appreciation for life’s richness in all its forms. |
