Vishuddha Yoga Centre Oxford £40 - SAVE 10% if you book before March 1st If you ever feel sluggish, heavy, stiff, tired, or just somehow not yourself, you lack some of your natural vitality. That can be because of a number of reasons, but it might be a result of the habituated holding patterns and emotional tension we tend to carry in our abdomen. The abdomen is not only the seat of our digestion, but also of the Prana or Qi that moves us forward through life. It’s from where we draw our innate strength and get our fuel for action. It also is our second brain that gives us our intuition. In this workshop we will explore how to release some of the tension we hold, invite more space and re-ignite that vital life force through a combination of somatic movement, yoga and meridian stretching used in East Asian medicine. Leave feeling more grounded, nourished and revitalised, and maybe a little more yourself again. About Jacqueline: The study and practice of shiatsu and acupuncture has led Jacqueline to yoga. Before studying and teaching Iyengar yoga, Jacqueline was teaching Do-In and Meridian Stretching alongside her bodywork practice. In this workshop, she will share meridian stretches and acupressure points according to East Asian medicine. |
