Vishuddha Yoga Centre Oxford £40 - SAVE 10% if you book before June 10th Let’s celebrate summer, the season of blossoming and vitality. It’s also the season of the heart, that not only regulates blood circulation but also governs the mind and spirit, playing a crucial role in mental health and consciousness. The fire element symbolises both heat and joy, suggesting that summer is a time for openness, warmth in human relationships, and an abundance of energy and activity. However, balance is key, as excessive heat or fire can lead to imbalances, manifesting as restlessness, insomnia, irritability, or even heart issues. In this workshop we will explore how to mobilise and vitalise the upper spine, to give more space and nourishment to the heart, and how to foster a sense of joy and harmony, through a combination of yoga, somatic movement and meridian stretching used in East Asian medicine. Leave feeling more peaceful, balanced and revitalised, and maybe a little more yourself again. About Jacqueline: The study and practice of shiatsu and acupuncture has led Jacqueline to yoga. Before studying and teaching Iyengar yoga, Jacqueline was teaching Do-In and Meridian Stretching alongside her bodywork practice. In this workshop, she will share meridian stretches and acupressure points according to East Asian medicine. |
